We hereby inform you that the National Tax and Customs Administration has activated the 5th phase of the NCTS (New Computerized Transit System) from 2:30 a.m. on January 21, 2025.
From now on, T1 documents originating from abroad must be closed in the NCTS V5 phase.
According to the information provided by the Customs Department of the Central Management of the National Tax and Customs Administration, problems may arise during the closing of transit procedures in NCTS.
The receipt process by the authorized consignee may get stuck in the customs IT system, the closure of the affected T1 documents will therefore be redirected to the customs directorates for manual intervention.
Customs service points are working with extended opening hours, but the closure of backlogged items may take longer.
The National Tax and Customs Administration is working hard to resolve the IT problem, in the meantime we kindly ask for your patience regarding the closure of T1 documents.
