Dear Partners,
We would like to inform you about a technical change that affects the customs clearance process of consignments in the temporary storage of the terminal.
The Southern Budapest Tax and Customs Directorate of the Hungarian Customs Authority has informed us that in the future, the Customs Authority will require the submission of the NAV V05 form for customs merge and division of Commodity Reg items.
The mergers and divisions that are carried out are sent via the Customer Portal.
The terminal will continue to receive consignments arriving as customs goods in the usual way:
it closes the arriving T1 documents based on an order,
it forwards the basic customs registration numbers to its Customers.
The customs change is related to the customs clearance process.
In the case of joint customs clearance of several containers, customs merge may be necessary, and in the case of customs clearance of a joint consignment arriving in one container, customs division may be necessary.
UP TO NOW, this customs technical process took place in the form of electronic correspondence between the Customs Agent initiating customs clearance and the Customs Authority.
NOW, instead of email, the Customs Authority requests that Customs Agents submit the merge/division application to the Customs Authority on the NAV V05 form.
The terminal also accepts orders to carry out customs division/merge, if the customs IT system allows the requested operation to be performed.
Such shipments may be considered for which the Customs Authority has not yet had to intervene in the NCTS, and there is no customs tariff difference between the incoming customs data and the requested division.
Those shipments can only be merged/divided with the assistance of the Customs Authority for which the Customs Authority has already performed some action in the NCTS (e.g. due to a different seal/weight at arrival).
The terminal cannot undertake such tasks requiring a NAV V05 submission.
The Customs Authority does not bind the performance of customs division/merge exclusively to the temporary storage facility.
Given that customs division/merge is part of the customs clearance process, the terminal performs these services for a fee.
- Customs merge fee: EUR 2 + VAT / container to be merged
- Customs division fee: EUR 10 + VAT / container to be divided
To use our service with deferred payment, a cooperation agreement is required.
To perform the requested operation, the terminal awaits the commercial documents of the shipments and the cost-bearing declaration at import@containercenter.hu.
We trust in the smooth handling of customs clearances, and we would like to thank you for your cooperation.
